A series of short, engaging animations designed to explain Kalibrate’s expertise and strategic approach for their customers in the fuel and convenience retail industry.
Kalibrate are one of the leading global platforms in strategy and analysis within the fuel and convenience retail sector. They approached us to design and animate a series of 11 engaging videos that summarise their 4 key offerings as a business, as well as 7 elements that they believe result in success for their customers.
The videos needed to be fit for purpose for Kalibrate’s social media platforms, as well as at a leading industry trade show, NACS 2018, held in Las Vegas.
Our challenge was to distill Kalibrate’s complex and technical messaging into something accessible, informative and attention-grabbing, particularly at the trade show where lots of competitors will also be showcasing the benefits of their company.
The illustration style needed to be both technical and sophisticated, to complement Kalibrate’s expert tone of voice. We worked with Dominique Byron as her style fit the brand perfectly, whilst taking our cues from Kalibrate’s brand guidelines and colour palette. The outcome was a slick, iconographic style that gave hints to the theme of each video.
We worked to make the script succinct enough to appear over a couple of frames, so that text and illustrations were not competing but worked together to reinforce the message.
The series of videos were well received at NACS 2018 – you can see images of them on the impressive stands at the event below.
Kalibrate also used the videos as part of the build up to the event across their Twitter and LinkedIn, and are continuing to use the content post-event too.
Kalibrate selected Flow to create these videos based on their animation showreel and their clear, helpful correspondence regarding quotes and scope of work.
The process was very straight forward. The scripts and artwork shared with us demonstrated that Flow understood our project and what we were trying to achieve. During the process, amendments to the videos were received promptly.
The videos have a clean, modern style that complements our other marketing materials. We are very happy with the result and would work with Flow on projects again in the future.
